Call for Papers: Special issue of International Journal of Innovation in Science and Mathematics Education (IJ-ISME) on:
Science meets the Arts: What is the educative (pedagogic) impact when creative disciplines collide?
Guest Editors: A/Prof Rosanne Quinnell (USyd), Dr Margaret Wegener (UQ), Dr Rebecca LeBard (UNSW) and Stephanie Beames (UQ)
The creativity of scientists and mathematicians is not bounded by the strictures of what constitutes disciplinary research. We want to hear what you are doing in the space where Science meets the Arts. This special issue focuses on the scholarly, personal and scientific value of creative works (e.g. poems, visual art, creative writing, music) generated either formally (within the curriculum) or informally.
Abstracts due: 31 October, 2018
Interested authors should initially submit a 250-word abstract for consideration to Stephanie Beames. This expression of interest is to help ensure that the final edition addresses a broad range of disciplines and challenges.
Manuscripts due: 1 February, 2019
Reviews will be returned in March, with final versions due April 2019
This special issue will be published online in mid-2019 at: https://openjournals.library.sydney.edu.au/index.php/CAL
