The ACDS Learning and Teaching Leaders Conference

The ACDS Learning and Teaching Leaders Conference was held on the 19 and 20 July at the University of Adelaide with 47 participants from 29 universities. Prof Martin Westwell gave at excellent opening keynote on Science education for innovative societies: Complex, unfamiliar and non-routine, followed by sessions on student attrition (or better named student persistence) from Prof Phillipa Levy, on the changing face of teaching and teaching roles from Prof Pauline Ross and group discussions on teaching standards.

The conference also explored the proposal to establish an ACDS Teaching Fellowship – more on that very soon.

Conference presentations are available here.
