Abstracts are invited in relation to the Symposium themes of developing curriculum for teaching precision agriculture (and big data management on farm), work integrated learning, inquiry-oriented approaches for interdisciplinary learning, achieving graduate outcomes using blended and online learning, co-creation of assessment and curriculum with agriculture students and industry. We are also accepting abstracts for any other agricultural education matters. Abstracts are due by 30 April 2018. The presenting author(s) must register to attend the conference before the Early Bird registration closes on 2 June 2018.
We have already received quite a few abstracts and we look forward to exciting keynotes from Professor Beverley Oliver (Deakin, Assuring Graduate Outcomes); Professor Morgan Miles (CSU, Developing Entrepreneurship Skills); and; Dr Peter Sale (LTU, Flipping First Year).
We welcome the Poultry Hub as a sponsor for the Australian University Agriculture Education Award for Excellence in Teaching to be awarded at the Symposium Dinner. This award is intended to recognize significant and sustained contributions to Australian Agriculture Education. Up to three Awards, will be presented in 2018, including one award specifically in the individual Early Career category. Applications close midnight (EST) Thursday 3 May.
